What Are Missions?
A mission is a small guided challenge designed to help you use Portuguese confidently in real life.
Don’t worry, I’ll be by your side every step of the way. Examples of missions:
- Follow instructions in Portuguese.
- Order something and respond naturally.
- Read a sign and explain what it means.
- Ask a staff member a quick question.
- Use a self-checkout machine.
- Describe what’s happening around you.
Missions make every experience exciting, fun, and truly memorable.
Experiences
Each experience is built around a specific theme and a real-life objective.
Most take place in carefully handpicked iconic spots across São Paulo, chosen for their atmosphere, cultural value, and learning potential.
1 - Eating Out And Ordering Food
We’ll explore an inviting and colorful food court in São Paulo that offers a wide variety of Brazilian food stalls and dining options.
Together, we’ll decode menus, understand different types of service, and navigate real interactions. You’ll discover surprising Brazilian food habits and see how locals actually order, choose, and customize their meals.
Along the way, you’ll have the option to order something if you’d like — using real Portuguese in a real situation (food and drinks are not included).
2 - Shopping
You’ll visit one of the most iconic malls in São Paulo, where language, culture, and everyday life come together.
As we move through the space, you’ll explore displays, read signs, and build Build confidence using Portuguese while shopping. — including different ways to ask “How much is it?”
And of course, you’ll understand why Brazilians love malls so much.
3 - Getting Around
Learn how to move around São Paulo with confidence while exploring iconic spots in the historic city center.
As we walk through streets rich in architecture, stories, and surprising local curiosities, we’ll practice asking for directions, understanding street signs, navigating the area, and using the metro like a local.
This experience will definitely put your listening skills to the test!
4 - Brazilian Bakery
This is one of the things that most surprises foreigners in São Paulo.
Many bakeries here are more than places to buy bread — they are a mix of bakery, snack bar, café, restaurant, pastry shop, and even convenience store.
It may seem chaotic at first, but everything is surprisingly well organized. These all-in-one food hubs are part of the city’s everyday life and full of social interaction.
Beyond learning bakery-specific vocabulary, I’ll also show you some fascinating curiosities about this unique and beloved place.
In my opinion, this is one of the most enjoyable experiences you can join!
5 - Art, Culture, And Entertainment
Step into one of my favorite places in the city — a space I return to again and again.
You’ll visit one of São Paulo’s most creative environments, where different forms of art come together: dance, music, theatre, cinema, and exhibitions.
As we walk through this vibrant space, you’ll see people rehearsing choreography, playing instruments, and more.
It’s a dynamic, living environment — full of energy and expression.
6 - Leisure, And Outdoor Life
Did you know São Paulo is home to over 100 public parks? They’re true oases in the middle of the concrete jungle.
They’re perfect for relaxing, exercising, or simply enjoying being outside. It’s a completely different side of the city. And among all these parks, there’s one that’s lively, full of leisure options, highly social.
You’ll practice Portuguese in a vibrant setting, connect with the city’s outdoor culture, and experience a side of São Paulo many visitors never truly see.

Frequently Asked Questions
All experiences are suitable for learners from basic to advanced, with each experience adapted to your level and confidence.
You’re ready if you already know some basic Portuguese and can use it in simple everyday situations. For example, if you can:
- Talk a little about yourself.
- Ask simple questions.
- Understand basic conversations.
- Describe past experiences in simple terms.
- Talk about your daily routine.
You don’t need perfect grammar or fluent speaking. The experience is designed to help you grow from where you are.
If you’re not at this level yet, I recommend joining my program Speak Portuguese Now first to build your foundation.
That depends on your goals, interests, and how long you’ll be in São Paulo.
For most learners, I recommend starting with the more practical everyday experiences first, then moving into the more cultural and social ones.
A natural progression would be:
Order Food → Shopping → Getting Around → Brazilian Bakery → Art, Culture & Entertainment → Leisure & Outdoor Life
This flow helps you build confidence step by step — starting with essential real-life situations, then expanding into richer cultural experiences and more spontaneous conversation.
